Zoe and Michael’s wedding
{Leith’s at Beaulieu, The Domus}

Rumour has it that as soon as Mike knew their wedding day could take place at Beaulieu and incorporate a reception in the National Motor Museum his mind was made up and fortunately it is such a beautiful and historic venue Zoe was happy too! We were delighted to be photographing their wonderful day and always looked forward to working with the fantastic team at Leith’s who are key to the success of Beaulieu weddings.

We met Zoe and Mike at The Master Builders Hotel at Bucklers Hard for their preparations although the boys were soon leaving for the pub and a little lunch with a large beer!! Zoe was enjoying a relaxed preamble to the wedding celebrations with her family and bridesmaids, hair and makeup all completed in good time, everyone was dressed and ready to leave for the 3.00 pm ceremony in The Domus.

There was a lovely mellow atmosphere for Zoe and Mike, The Domus looked stunning on this late autumnal afternoon, warm and cosy the scene was set for their marriage ceremony. After which we completed the formal family photographs then popped off with Zoe and Mike for a few portraits in the grounds of Palace House before the light disappeared completely. The much anticipated reception in the Motor Museum took place after the wedding breakfast, where Zoe and Mike had the opportunity to sit in some of the vehicles exhibited. Eventually we all returned to The Domus for the evening party and buffet however we did make the most of the time with Zoe and Mike who were very pleased to have some photographs of them together in the cloisters….of course!:-)

Many congratulations to you both, we hope you enjoy the selection of images we have chosen for our blog, don’t forget there will be many more for your gallery very soon!

Louise and Steve’s wedding
{Leith’s at Beaulieu, The Domus}

It looked like it was going to be a stormy day for Louise and Steve’s lovely wedding at Beaulieu but with the afternoon came a massive improvement in the weather and all was looking promising for the best of autumn in the New Forest.

Louise was at The Masterbuilders Hotel with her bridesmaids and family where I met them all while Gemma was taking care of their hair and make up.  The splendid flowers from Jo Hicks had already arrived and her team were now over at The Domus putting the finishing touches to the decorations there.

Earle met Steve and his party at Monty’s where they all enjoyed a drink and a spot of lunch before going across the road into the grounds of Palace House to greet the wedding guests as they arrived at The Domus for 3.00pm.

The atmosphere inside the Domus as warm, cosy and welcoming, a perfect setting for Louise and Steve who were of course the centre piece of a beautiful marriage ceremony after which we were thrilled to be able to complete the formal family group shots outside in the Cloisters then take Louise and Steve around the grounds for their wedding portraits which they were very enthusiastic about despite the chill in the air:-)  We were able to pop out again with them after the wedding breakfast and first dance for those much loved ‘after dark’ portraits, just for a few minutes while the party was in full swing so they were not missed too much by their guests.

It has been a brilliant day Louise and Steve, we hope you had the best time and huge congratulations on your marriage.  Earle and I have chosen some of our favourite images for the blog and will be in touch as soon as we have completed the proofing and post production on your gallery images.

Kirsten and Paul’s wedding
{Beaulieu Abbey and The Domus, Beaulieu}

We had met with Kirsten and Paul numerous times during their engagement and had a brilliant time with them both during the pre wedding shoot and now the wedding day had arrived which meant we were on the road to Beaulieu early Saturday morning.  Earle was due at the Master Builders Hotel to meet the boys and Kirsten was at The Beaulieu Hotel so that was my destination for the preparations.

Beaulieu Abbey and The Domus looked as splendid as ever, Jules had worked closely with Kirsten and Paul in creating the beautiful bouquets and floral decorations so the scene was set for a memorable day and the team at Leith’s made sure it was delivered!  We were delighted to be able have sometime in the grounds of Palace House in the evening photographing the bride and groom while they enjoyed a little breather from all the excitement and then again for a few minutes much later in the evening for those ‘signature’ after dark images we so love capturing. ‘ Simply Stunning’ :-)

We send our warmest congratulations to Kirsten and Paul and our very best wishes for a long and happy life together.  There is a selection of images for you all to enjoy while we complete the full edit and have the proofs available.  We love our readers to join in with our blog so do leave a comment if you wish.

Kate and Tom’s wedding
{Beaulieu Abbey and The Domus, Beaulieu}

Kate, her mother and four lovely bridesmaids were all at The Mill at Gordleton preparing for the day ahead so this is where I headed off to on Saturday morning while Earle travelled over to The Master Builders House Hotel to meet with Tom and his family and friends.  The hotel room at The Mill was buzzing with activity and chatter, make up and hair creations everywhere providing the most wonderful air of anticipation and excitement.

Tom and his party were occupied with the final running around tasks and dressing for the day but did find time a for game or two of Jenga before leaving for Beaulieu and the grounds of Palace House and the Abbey where Tom and Kate’s marriage ceremony was to take place.  The guests started to arrive with Tom there to greet everyone and Kate left The Mill at Gordleton to make the  journey to church and a beautiful marriage ceremony in Beaulieu Abbey.

The cloisters provided the perfect situation for the elegant drinks reception and formal family photographs which we completed once all the guests had the opportunity to offer their congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Morey!  Then it was time for Kate and Tom to take a few minutes away from their guests while we photographed the two of them in the stunning grounds of Palace House before they were needed for the receiving line into their wedding breakfast, speeches and cake cutting.

The band had set up earlier in the day for the evening party and were ready for the first dance and an energetic evening of celebrations and wonderful music.  With the arrival of the buffet and Kate’s self proclaimed ‘cheesey music’ playing in between sets from the band we took the opportunity to borrow Kate and Tom away from their guests again for those stunningly atmospheric after dark images which have become a keynote to anyone we photograph at this beautiful Beaulieu venue.

The whole team of Leith’s at Beaulieu were wonderful as ever to work with, Flowers by Jules  and her team worked their magic with all things flowery and with Kate and Tom on cloud nine the day was a priviledge to be part of.  Take a peek at some of our favourite images and if you happen to see something you like then please leave a note along with anyone who just fancies joining in with our blog:-)
