Jessica and Rhys wedding

We had a great day on Saturday with Jessica and Rhys celebrating their marriage with their family and friends.  The ceremony was taking place at the Methodist Church in Broadstone so a very local wedding for us then a quick drive out to Athelhampton House where the reception and party was being held.

Earle and I have been friends with Jessica’s parents for some years now and were really pleased to be asked to photograph the wedding.  Earle drove over to Walkford to meet with Rhys and his two Bestmen for some photographs at home and then over to the cliffs looking out across the Solent before they arrived at the church in plenty of time to greet the guests.  I was with Jessica in Broadstone at her parents home with her family and bridesmaids, Lisa and Sarah.  Amongst all the banter and giggles the girls were ready to leave at the appointed hour looking beautiful, and Dave as Father of the Bride you looked pretty damn good too – Michelle did a lovely job of your hair!!!  Although it must be said your lovely daughter Jessica knocked the spots off everyone – totally fantastic.

The staff at Athelhampton House greeted us with a warm and tasty glass of Winter Pimms,  very scrummy.  We managed to complete the formal photographs before the light dropped too low and then Jessica and Rhys came into the gardens with us for a  little more photography before we needed to retire back into the warmth and a delicious wedding breakfast.

It was a fantastic day, great fun mixing work with some serious socialising at the party.  Weird seeing David without his camera though, at least it meant Barbara didn’t have to carry the tripod!

Congratulations Jessica and Rhys and a massive thank you for the wonderful hospitality extended to us and the unconditional trust you showed in Earle and me from the very start.  Have fun always!
