It was another bright sunny day and we were up and out early to spend a wonderful day photographing Teresa and Andy’s wedding. I arrived at their home soon after Teresa had returned from the hairdressers with her bridesmaids and mum. The make up artist was settled in and so all I had to do was unpack my camera and get creative! The girls were soon busy getting into their bridesmaids dresses with Teresa’s mum doing a stirling job tying all the bodices leaving just enough room in the waistline for a little lunch and champagne to be enjoyed before Teresa’s time came to be put into her beautiful gown. The weather was getting increasingly warm and everyone was trying very hard not to overheat so it was important to not feel rushed but Teresa with her enviable organisational skills had everything timed perfectly and right on time everyone was ready to leave the house for church.
Earle had been with Andy during the morning with his brother and once they were suited and booted they met with friends and family at the pub for a quick drink before arriving at Winton Methodist Church in plenty of time to welcome the many guests gathering. Andy and Teresa are very well known and loved within their community and the church was packed with wellwishers of all ages. It was a very special moment to see Teresa walk up the aisle to Andy with so many people evidently thrilled to be there.
The wedding reception was held at the Wessex Hotel and following the welcome drinks and speeches everyone tucked into their meal. Earle and I had a few more family group photographs to complete later in the day and after this we took a trip down to the beach with Teresa and Andy where we were able to create some beautiful photographs of the two of them enjoying some quiet time together after the heat and excitement of the day. The fresh sea air and relaxation revived us all and we were all ready to join the wedding guests again, Teresa and Andy were greeting masses of evening guests and everyone threw all their energy into a brilliant night of dancing and partying.
It has been an incredible day and marvellous to see Teresa and Andy enjoying their own very perfect wedding celebration. Thank you both very much for your thoughtfulness and kind hospitality, Earle and I send our warmest congratulations to you both.
