Tiffany and Tim’s wedding
{Lovington, Ston Easton Park and Orchardleigh House}

Last Sunday was an early start to be in Somerset for Tiffany and Tim’s wedding day although many of the people involved in this wonderful day had travelled many more miles as this was another transatlantic union with guests flying in from all corners of the world.  Earle was in Lovington ready to meet Tim enjoying the early morning sunshine while I made my way on to Ston Easton Park where Tiffany and her family were all staying.  It was a busy scene as I walked into meet everyone, hair and make up well underway, particularly pretty flowers being delivered and lots of excited people coming in and out…a wonderful atmosphere.  The morning raced on by and before too long Tiffany was ready to move back to her room to dress and have a few photographs with her wedding party.

Earle had by now met with Tim at his parents home and enjoyed the opportunity of the lovely country surroundings photographing Tim with his best man and ushers during their preparations and early arrival at St Thomas A Becket Church in the picturesque village of Lovington.

Tiffany was ready to leave Ston Easton in plenty of time for the 30 minute drive to church.  The tiny church was full and the atmosphere quite wonderful with the harpist playing and sunshine pouring in through the ancient windows.  Tiffany and Tim’s marriage ceremony was a perfect match to this environment with a lovely blend of  british and american tradition.  We spent a short time after the ceremony outside  amid lots of hugs and confetti before making our way to Orchardleigh House and the wedding reception.   The sun continued to shine and summer had seriously arrived allowing everyone to fully enjoy the beautiful grounds and view from the terraces of this lovely house.  We decided with Tiffany and Tim to wait until after the wedding breakfast to photograph them together in the grounds of Orchardleigh allowing plenty of time to socialise with their guests.  Party time kicked off with the band performing for the first dance and the energy continued for the rest of the evening giving a fantastic party and packed dance floor all night!

Earle and I send our warmest congratulations to Tiffany and Tim on your marriage and what a superb day for everyone there!  We have selected some of our favourite images so you all can have enjoy a flavour of this beautiful celebration, we always welcome anyone who would like to leave a comment so feel free to add yours, just click on the box below..

Isabel and Tom’s wedding
{Wimborne Minster and Deans Court, Wimborne}

Isabel and Tom’s wedding was right on our doorstep today in Wimborne Minster which offers such a very particular character and appeal and where Tom is a member of the choir.  Dean’s Court was a new venue to us also and what a perfect gem it is, an idyll hidden away from the general hubbub of Wimborne and yet just a stone’s throw from the Minster.   I caught up with Isabel at the hairdressers in Wimborne while Earle headed off to The Kings Head to meet Tom where he was getting ready with his family and groomsmen.  While the boys were occupied with their various morning last minute tasks Isabel and the girls walked from the hairdressers, home then just across the courtyard to the beauty salon before the final moments of getting into their beautiful wedding and bridesmaid dresses.

The Minster is just across the square from Isabel and Tom’s home and right on time Isabel is ready to walk across there with her father and bridesmaids.  Much of the music during the day was provided by Tom’s family and this added immensley to the personal influences of their beautiful wedding ceremony and matched the environment perfectly.

The much talked about July weather was promising to be kind and the sunshine was even beginning to show up!  We were able to complete the formal family photographs outside the Minster very quickly enabling the whole wedding party to make the short walk from the square across to Deans Court and the delightful reception in the house and tranquil gardens.  Everyone enjoyed the sunshine and relaxing in the sunshine for the afternoon before moving around to the marquee for the wedding breakfast and entertaining speeches.  Isabel and Tom joined us later in the evening as we took a stroll around the grounds to photograph just the two of them relaxing before the first dance and partying alongside the fantastic west country, cider drinking band…The Skimmity Hitchers.

A wonderful day all round, massive congratulations to  Isabel and Tom!  Thank you for your hospitality and also to Jonathan for the welcome you offered us at Deans Court.  We hope you enjoy the selection of images here, please feel free to add a comment, all you need to do is click on the box.

Gemma and Alex’s wedding
{Christchurch Priory and Captain’s Club}

Earle was not due to meet Alex until 11.00 and all our locations for Gemma and Alex’s wedding day were very close to each other so we thought it would be fun for Earle to come with me to see Gemma and the girls at Scissors in Christchurch and join in with some of their preparation photographs.  There was plenty of space there so we didn’t step on each others toes too much:-)  Our dear friend and much trusted make up artist Robyn Vallender was there also so the team was in place for all the girls to look their very best.

Next stop for Earle was Christchurch Priory where Alex was due to arrive with his family ready to greet the wedding guests, while I followed the girls back to Gemma’s family riverside home where the final preparations were taking place, dresses, shoes, flowers by Maria in Southbourne all set out and ready to go and in no time at all the bridesmaids were ready, the flower girls arrived, parent’s fully organised and Gemma was having the final touches to her veil and gown.

Spot on midday Gemma’s father walked her up the long aisle of this glorious church to where  Alex was waiting for her and their marriage ceremony could begin.  The wonderful music was accompanied by The Bournemouth Symphony Chorus Wedding Choir adding huge atmosphere to a very beautiful ceremony.  Outside the weather was being relatively well behaved, the sun shone and the plans for all the guests to arrive at the Captain’s Club by river ferry were going to be fulfilled while we photographed Gemma and Alex around the Christchurch Ruins, a favourite location for them both.  It was then their turn for the river ferry to be greeted by their guests who were enjoying drinks and canapes on the terrace.

With early evening drawing on and the wedding breakfast and speeches completed the casino was running for some after dinner entertainment.  Alex’s family are Viva Las Vegas, who we have met several times before and their casino always proves to be hugely popular and naturally no exception here!  The later evening was greeted with the four piece vocal harmony group The Imaginations kicking things off providing the music for Gemma and Alex’s first dance and rest of the night.  Wonderful fun and a packed dance floor!!!

It’s been a great day to be part of, we wish Gemma and Alex all the happiness for their life together.  Thank you both for your very kind hospitality.  We have chosen a few of our favourite images for you all to enjoy while the proofing is completed.  We always welcome comments from our readers here, please join in and click on the comments box below.
