Sam and Bill’s wedding
{Athelhampton House, Dorset}

What a joy to be in the heart of Dorset in June for Sam and Bill’s wedding day.   They had found Athelhampton House after much searching from their home in Weston Super Mare where all their family and friends travelled from to join in a perfectly wonderful day.  We met Sam and Bill at The Old Manor at Kingston Maurward for their preparations, I stayed with Sam in her room with her bridesmaids and mum while Bill and the boys spent the morning with Earle, who enjoyed the opportunity of this wonderful environment to capture some very special photographs of Bill and his party before leaving for Athelhampton House.

At Athelhampton the ceremony room was full and the atmosphere equally full of anticipation as Sam arrived and walked up the aisle with her father.   Amid many highly emotional moments Sam and Bill were married in a beautiful ceremony and emerged from the house into the sunshine as Mr and Mrs with everyone eager to offer their congratulations.

The formal family photographs were completed and everyone was soon free to completely relax and enjoy the drinks reception fully while we popped back inside the house for one or two photographs of Sam which were specifically requested.  We were able to take Sam and Bill outside after the wedding breakfast in the evening light and spend some time with them alone for some wonderful photographs around the glorious grounds of Athelhampton House before they needed to return to their guests for the first dance and evening party.

We wish Sam and Bill all they wish for themselves in their marriage, it has been a magical day filled with their love for each other.  Earle and I also thank Sam and Bill for their extraordinary hospitality to us, we look forward to seeing you both again for your post wedding shoot…Wedding Diva roll on!!!!.  We have enjoyed selecting a few of our favourite images from the day for your enjoyment while we complete the proofing. Sarah and Dan’s wedding
{Lyndhurst and The Domus, Leith’s at Beaulieu}

It seems more or less the whole of England was being enveloped in summer storms on the day of Sarah and Dan’s wedding but the New Forest was dry and even with a hint of sunshine every now and then so all was looking good for a wonderful day ahead.  Dan and Sarah had travelled all the way from their current home in China to marry in England and close to Sarah’s family home.

Earle and I made our way to The Balmer Lawn Hotel where the wedding party were staying and spent the morning with them photographing their preparations.  The girls were all very busy with the hair and make up artists while the boys were able to wonder off down the road to Lyndhurst for a relaxing drink before making their way to church.

Sarah’s mother had arranged a surprise dove release which despite the windy conditions was still able to take place outside the church after the ceremony and the dove’s were expected home in Surrey before their owner arrived back there in his car!  Amazing!!   With the dove’s on their way home we all made our way to The Domus in Beaulieu where the formal photographs were to be taken while everyone enjoyed drinks and canapes in the beautiful surroundings.  Sarah and Dan were keen to take the opportunity for the photography of the two of them alone as soon as possible so once the family groups were completed we took a stroll around the grounds of Palace House and were thrilled to be able to use the unseasonal weather conditions to achieve some beautiful atmospheric images for Sarah and Dan.

With the return of Sarah and Dan to their guests it was time to be seated for the wedding breakfast and speeches then straight into the evening of dance and partying.

A fantastic day of celebrations and delight,  Earle and I send our warmest congratulations to Sarah and Dan who are now back in China as Mr and Mrs!!!  We have selected a few images here for you to enjoy while we complete the proofing process.  It is always great to hear from our readers, so please feel free to join in and add a comment.

Annelise and Romesh’ wedding
{The Domus, Beaulieu}

We love the East meets West occassions… matter which east or west it happens to be:-)  Today’s beautiful wedding brought Sri Lanka roots together with England in the perfect historic and picturesque surroundings of The Domus and Palace House at Beaulieu in the New Forest.   However before arriving at Beaulieu I was en route to meet Annelise and the girls at The Lime Wood Hotel in Lyndhurst.  I found them in one of the two fabulous Pavillion suites with Christine Quar, Annelise’s hair and make up artist.  The girls were all enjoying a relaxing and luxurious morning and early afternoon preparing for the 3.00pm wedding ceremony in The Domus.

Romesh met his family and friends in The Montagu Arms, Beaulieu and this is where Earle headed off to before everyone crossed the road and headed to The Domus and grounds of Palace HouseThe Domus was filled to capacity for the ceremony and looked spectacular for Annelise’s arrival.  Yet again the fair weather fairy was with us all and the sun shone warmly on Beaulieu enabling the drinks reception to be held out in the Cloisters while the Sri Lankan drummer and flutist played in the background.  Once we had completed the formal family photographs we were able to take a stroll around the grounds of Palace House with Annelise and Romesh for some photographs of just the two of them before the wedding breakfast was served.

The party kicked off with Romesh and Annelise’s first dance and the band kept the dance floor full for the entire night along with the addition of an interval of Sri Lankan music and dance.  It had been a simply stunning day for everyone, Earle and I send our congratulations to Annelise and Romesh and wish them very happiness together.

There is a selection of images for your enjoyment while we complete the full edit, please feel free to join in with our blog and leave a comment:-)

Helen and James’ wedding
{Ramster Hall, Chiddingfold, Surrey}

The magnificent Ramster Hall in Surrey was the venue for Helen and James’ wedding day but before their late afternoon ceremony took place we met up with them for their preparations. Earle was with James at The Inn on the Lake in Godalming while I travelled over to Helen’s Epsom family home. The early afternoon passed in both locations with the business of wedding outfits and excited chatter, we had time for a few family shots at home before leaving for Ramster Hall.

The heavens opened during the 40 minute drive and it looked for all the world that Helen and James’ wedding was going to be entirely inside Ramster Hall but as we approached the beautiful grounds not only did the torrential rain stop but the sun was shining! Earle was ready to meet Helen and her father on their arrival while I moved into the Great Drawing Room with the guests and met with James. Helen and James marriage ceremony was remarkable in it’s beauty and emotion, even the registrar wiping a tear from her eye!!!

The sun continued to shine as the drinks reception was enjoyed out in the courtyard before retiring to the Long Hall for the wedding breakfast, speeches and cake cutting. The party was in full swing even before the band struck up for the evening and the first dance was quickly joined by the guests who partied through. A lovely touch for the final hour of the night was the pianist in the Great Drawing Room who played for those who wanted to join in a song or two.

Massive congratulations to Helen and James on your wedding day, we wish you both much happiness in your marriage. Earle and I have selected a few images for your enjoyment while we continue with the full edit, as always we welcome anyone who would like to join in with our blog, just a click on the comments box will put you in the right place:-)

Nichola and Andrew’s Blessing
{All Saint’s and Castle Malwood Park, Minstead}

Those of you who follow our blog may well recognise Nichola and Andrew from their wedding day last June at All Saint’s and their delightful afternoon tea reception at Lainston House before they both left England once again to take up their new life together based in Dubai. Well, they have returned to England to celebrate their first anniversary in marvellous style with a Blessing ceremony back in All Saint’s church and celebrations at Nichola’s family home in the New Forest.

Andrew and his party were all in Lyndhurst preparing for the day ahead and this is where Earle met them all while I was with Nichola and her family and bridesmaids in Minstead until the time came to leave for church.  The horse and carriage delivered the Mother of the bride and bridesmaids to church before returning for Nichola and her Father who were able to enjoy a lovely journey through the leafy sunblessed lanes of Minstead to the dear little church where Nichola and Andrew married last year with just their very closest family present.  Today the church was full to bursting point to share in the renewal and blessing of their vows.

A glorious reception with influences of Nichola’s Hong Kong childhood followed complete with a Chinese Lion dance before retiring to the marquee for their wedding breakfast and evening party.

It has been wonderful to see Nichola and Andrew again with their family and so many of their friends, Earle and I send our warmest congratulations to you both and hope you enjoy the images of your incredible day.

Lucy and Andrew’s wedding
{Beaulieu Abbey and The Domus, Beaulieu}

Lucy and Andrew were staying at The Montague Arms the night before their wedding and it was here we were to meet up with them. Andrew made his way with his best man and father to the pub for a little pre wedding sustinence. Lucy was with her bridesmaid, sister and mother busy with all those lovely girlie preparations, hair, make up and lots of excited chatter.

Beaulieu was looking exceptionally memorable in the glorious sunshine, the Domus and Cloisters a perfect setting for the drinks reception after Lucy and Andrew’s beautiful marriage ceremony. We were able to complete the formal family photographs while everyone enjoyed their canapes and very welcome drinks. Once Lucy and Andrew had been able to enjoy some socialising we guided them around the grounds of Palace House for those important photographs they had been looking forward to of just the two of them together. We could not be too long as the wedding was moving onto the National Motor Museum for a private reception there until returning to the Domus for the wedding breakfast and evening party.

Once darkness fell we popped out into the cloisters again with Lucy and Andrew for a few portraits amongst the arches while the party continued. It was not long before the bride and groom were ready to take their leave along a tunnel of sparklers leading out to the car waiting to whisk them off to Lainston House Hotel.

A simply stunning day all round, huge congratulations to Lucy and Andrew on your marriage.  We have selected a variety of images from Lucy and Andrew’s day for our blog while the full edit is completed. Please join in and drop us a line through the comments box below.
