Stevie and Adam’s wedding day

We have to declare a very personal interest in this particular wedding day, we have known Stevie and Adam for some years now within a professional level and we were thrilled to be asked as soon as they became engaged to photograph their wedding day at Lulworth Castle  .   Earle met with Adam and the boys in Corfe Mullen before leaving for Lulworth Castle in their helicopter, always a great way to arrive at any event!

I met up with Stevie and her bridesmaids at Coleese in Poole where Colin and Paul were taking perfect control of all things to do with amazing hairstyling.    Caroline was taking good care of everyone with yummy bacon sarnies and coffee so all was well there along with the champagne and orange juice!!!

Not wanting to make too big a deal of it of course, but it is necessary to mention here the fact of a fantastic trip to Lulworth Castle with the Bride, her father and William in the helicopter!!!  Stevie very kindly organised for me to have the front seat alongside the pilot, this gave me the prime opportunity for some truly fantastic photographic moments which of course I exploited fully and was delighted to find we had to circle the castle for a few minutes while waiting for the bridesmaids limousine to arrive!!!

The whole day went perfectly,  Earle and I were really happy to whisk  Adam and Stevie away after the wedding breakfast for some photography of them together at the cove in the late evening light.  We are thrilled with these images they are natural yet romatic and dramatic.  Stevie and Adam were total stars!!!

We send you our congratulations Stevie and Adam, we know you are an amazing team!  We are posting here some of our wedding day favourites and we will have the complete day ready for your return!   As always we look forward to receiving comments on our blog, just click on the box following the images.

Bournemouth Air Festival 20th August 2009

Mixing work with a bit of pleasure, managed to take some quick images of some of the display. Jane definitely classes it as full on ‘anorak’ but some of the flying was amazing, especially the fly past by Vulcan XH558, long may it continue to fly.

Stacey and Tim’s wedding day

What a perfect day for a wedding especially for Stacey and Tim!

Stacey’s bridesmaids, all close friends to Stacey were with her in the morning for their preparations taking care of helping her into her beautiful gown from Daisy Bridal before leaving for the marriage ceremony at the Guildhall in Poole.  Stacey looked stunning and took her father’s breath away when he first saw her at the doorway all ready for jumping into the dear little Morris Minor convertible which was taking them on their short journey.

After the ceremony and formal photographs at the Guildhall we walked down through the quaint cobbled street of Poole Old Town to the Hotel Du Vin where the afternoon reception was held.  This gave Earle and I a brilliant opportunity for some lovely natural photography of Stacey and Tim with their wedding party and the few holiday makers who were along the street were thrilled to see such a lovely event calling out their congratulations to the bride and groom.  The warmth and happiness from such complete strangers is always a very special thing to witness.

The wedding party moved onto Poole Yacht Club for the evening party and at this time we borrowed Stacey and Tim for a short while to enable them to enjoy a little time at the beach and some photography of the two of them quietly taking in the calmness there with the sun beginning to set.

It was a truly memorable day Stacey and Tim, Earle and I send you our sincere congratulations on your marriage and all you have achieved together already.  Enjoy the selection of images we have posted here,  we have so many more for you to look forward to seeing.

Natalie and Jono’s wedding day

Natalie and Jono travelled all the way home from South Africa to marry at Beaulieu Abbey and celebrate in the Domas.  The day was a wonderful success with all their family and friends gathered.   Earle and I always enjoy photographing at Beaulieu the historic architecture there  simply provides a terrific backdrop for photography and with Natalie and Jono as the bride and groom who were both really interested in helping us achieve some beautiful images for them to treasure we could not have asked for more!

The New Forest ponies do however have no regard for wedding’s and those who need to be anywhere and any particular time!!!  The short journey for Bride and Groom to travel from their respective locations to Beaulieu Abbey and the Domas was left very much at the mercy of these ponies and their mood for standing in the middle of the carriageway for just as long as they felt necessary:-):-)  As things turned out they found the draw of the lakeside preferable when Natalie and her Father left home for church so all was well and Jono was not kept waiting too long.

Congratulations to you both on your marriage – Natalie and Jono we wish you every happiness together.  Earle and I have chosen some of our favourite images from the day for you to see here.  Jono….. in answer to your question last night ref. who has won photo of the day……. we are still ‘debating’!   Well that is the phrase Earle and I use:-)

It will be brilliant to welcome any comments: just click on the box below the images and comment to your hearts delight!

Kirsten and Dean’s wedding

This last weekend took us off to the Farnham area near Guildford for Kirsten and Dean’s wedding day.  Their venue was the beautiful Bury Court Barn, a fantastic location, peaceful and very rural with unassuming style.

The morning raced by with Kirsten having her hair and make up taken care of and all her bridesmaids running around organising each other and making sure all was right for the Bride.  The boys arrived in good time to welcome all their guests and have everyone seated for the ceremony.  Bury Court boasts the most beautiful gardens which fortunately the guests were able to get a taste of during the drinks reception while we completed all the formal photography.  Luck was definately on our side with the weather during this time with the rain more or less holding off.  However unseasonal our climes can be it did not for one moment dampen the enjoyment and excitement of Kirsten and Dean’s wedding day!

After the wedding breakfast and the cake cutting we were pleased to see the weather had brightened considerably and we were able to whisk the Bride and Groom outside again for some photographs of them around the grounds.  Kirsten was a total trouper, not turning one single hair at the thought of damp grass and pathways.  We had a wonderful time running around creating some very special images for them both in the gardens and perhaps a little more surprising for them around some of the rather less likely locations in the grounds!

Kirsten you looked radiant, Earle and I send our warmest congratulations to you and Dean on your marriage and a brilliant celebration.  We hope you enjoy the selection of some of our favourite images of your day.

Earle and I always welcome any contributions to our blog, just click on the comments box below.
