Witchampton Soapbox Racing

So, after making it through Christmas day Will and I decided to head off to Witchampton (Dorset) to watch the Soapbox Racing which is an annual event in the village. After the first round the racers were obviously taking more risks to improve their times, the resultant crashes were funny and not too disasterous!!! It was a good laugh, i think we want to enter next year….

Jo and Fergus’ wedding day

Well, we have been reminded this weekend how beautiful Northamptonshire can be; Sulgrave is a lovely village not far from Silverstone and the perfect December afternoon presented the area with the most wonderful winter glow for Jo and Ferg’s wedding!!

Earle had a great time with Fergus, his two bestmen and TEN ushers!!!!  while I was enjoying the morning with Jo who was preparing for the day amongst her family and friends taking care of all things girlie!

The church was packed to bursting point with 170 guests and choir, adding a really festive atmosphere to the ceremony and everyone was greeted outside afterwards with mulled cider to enjoy while we quickly completed the formal photographs before all the guests moved on to the reception and partytime:-)

We always know parties which include Jo and Fergus with all their friends are going to be a blast especially when Blue Rinse are thrown into the mix for the live music and this was no exception.  Our well honed skills at capturing loads of lively dance and celebration images were well exercised but we did take a few minutes out with Jo and Ferg to disappear into one of the stables we discovered for some photographs.

It has been the most wonderful day Fergus and Jo, it was a priviledge to be part of the team to help complete your celebrations and we thank you both and your family for all your kindness and hospitality.  Earle and I look forward to meeting up with you both again when you have viewed all your photographs but for now here is a selection of our favourites.

Everyone is invited to add a comment for Fergus and Jo on the blog, click on the comments box below.

Amy and Paul’s wedding

It was an early start for me and a quick dash across to Amy’s family home in Southampton where she was preparing for the day ahead with her family and bridesmaids before leaving for Wimborne and Canford Magna Church.  Earle met up with Paul and his mates after they had been out for a hearty breakfast and were now having a bit of chill time before the ceremony.

By the time Paul and the guests were arriving at the Church the sun was shining and the autumnal weather remained perfect for the rest of the day.  We had a lovely time photographing all the guests and very importantly Amy and Paul after the ceremony over at Canford School where the reception was taking place.  The colour surrounding everything was remarkable.

Amy had seen some images we took at Canford School last year and decided then the school was a ‘must’ for their wedding day and some similarly dramatic photographs were required!  Well as ever we embraced  the opportunity and are more than chuffed with the images of Amy and Paul.

A special mention for Amy’s mum who made Amy’s totally stunning wedding dress, designed by mother and daughter together the flamenco influence was perfect and Amy of course looked absolutely magical.

Congratulations on such a marvellous day, Earle and I wish Paul and Amy a wonderful life together.

We have chosen some of our favourite photographs for you to enjoy now while we complete the edit on the full day.  Have fun looking at them and feel free to add a comment just click on the box below.

Jo and Rod’s wedding day

Last Saturday provided a beautiful October day perfect for Jo and Rod’s wedding.  Downton is Jo’s family home and St Laurence Church was the venue for their beautiful ceremony.  With Jo and Rod officially Mr & Mrs all their guests were on their way to the reception at the Chewton Glen while we followed Jo and Rod back to her parents home where a helicopter was waiting to whisk them off on a trip along the south coast and then to the hotel.  Earle joined them in the helicopter and was able to capture some wonderful natural fun images of Rod and Jo enjoying their trip.

I raced on to the Chewton Glen by car and arrived just in time to be in position by the helipad to greet them with a group of their guests.  All in all very exciting and Jo’s first trip in a helicopter was a resounding success!  The staff at the Chewton Glen took perfect care of Jo and Rod’s wedding celebrations and worked closely with us to ensure we all were able to give of our best.  This went some considerable way to ensuring we were able to capture some stunning images of Rod and Jo around the hotel and cover all the formal photographs in the grounds, so a great big thank you to their team.

Jo and Rod, Earle and I send you both our sincere congratulations on your marriage and the most wonderful day.  Thank you also for your very generous hospitality,  it is very much appreciated.

We have selected some of our favourite moment images for you to enjoy here while we complete the final edit on the whole day.

Remember everyone Earle and I love to welcome comments here so feel free to add yours!

Obehi and Bayo’s wedding day

This last weekend was a trip up to Hertfordshire and Hunton Park, the location for Obehi and Bayo’s wedding and magnificent party which was organised by Catherine of SEML in her usual brilliant way.

Following a busy time with the preparations around Hunton Park we all thoroughly enjoyed the most energetic and lively ceremony presided over by a minister who really knows how to engage his congregation…. he had them dancing in the aisle to celebrate the imminent marriage!   Nigerian weddings are always exciting and vibrant occassions which we love photographing, this was no exception and the extra help from our dear friend and photographer, Peter was completely invaluable.

Obehi and Bayo were shining with happiness all day and we are thrilled with the images we were able to capture, particularly the ones we organised with Obehi and Bayo around Hunton Park in the evening.  Congratulations to you both, enjoy some of our favourites here while we complete the edit for the whole day!!!

Earle and I welcome anyone who would like to add a comment, just click on the box below.

Kim and Will’s wedding day

It was off to Mudeford for Kim and Will’s wedding and the Christchurch Harbour Hotel.  Us girls had a busy morning at the hotel enjoying girlie type things like hair and make up, shoes and dresses.  Note here:  Kim’s beautiful dress created especially for her by Mojgan – absolute heaven!   The boys were kept busy with a small army of children!  When the time came to leave for the ceremony it was wonderfully relaxed with just a stroll across the road to the church in Mudeford where everyone had gathered including the small army headed by Kim and Will’s beautiful young son, George.

After the ceremony Kim and Will were driven down to the beach in the VW wedding camper van and spent a short while down there braving some fairly strong winds while we photographed them enjoying a quiet moment or two together before joining the wedding party again for the rest of the day, a wonderful reception and brilliant party complete with sky lanterns.  Now that was a moment which entertained not only all of us but all the onlookers in the hotel and restaurant!

Earle and I send you our sincere congratulations on your marriage, Kim you looked stunning, totally stunning! Will looked great but George was incredible!

Really loving those late night images Kim and Will which we created with you just before the first dance, can’t wait for you to see the final edit!  In the meantime here are a few winners from the day for you all to enjoy.  Don’t forget if anyone wants to leave a comment just click on the box below…
