Nikki and Sam wedding

Nikki and Sam decided they wanted their wedding in Highcliffe, a place of happy childhood memories for Nikki and her family. Sam a New Zealander figured his favourite childhood beach was rather too far away to do the wedding so they came up with a wonderful idea: they had a moment in their ceremony where the idea of two lit candles light one was transformed by two glasses of sand from their two beaches being poured into one – really liked that bit!!!

Highcliffe Castle was the venue for Nikki and Sam’s wedding and celebrations, the weather outside was changeable but the mood inside was wall to wall sunshine! Everyone was up for a real party and so it happened. Nikki and Sam were really pleased when their planned ‘Thai Lantern’ moment could happen, everyone came out into the grounds near the cliffs and lit their lanterns to watch them float out over the sea with the castle in the background – magical!

With the daylight long gone Earle and I decided to use the inside of Highcliffe Castle as well as outside for the photographs of Nikki and Sam. We knew they would be unphased with whatever we suggested to them, so preparations were made and then we broke the news which involved one of the castle’s grand piano’s! Nikki was thrilled and Sam grinned from ear to ear so completely proud of his beautiful wife we had to remind him to be part of the picture from time to time!

Take a peak at some of our personal favourite images from your day Nikki and Sam. Huge congratulations to you both.

Nicky and Alan wedding

Friday, and we were at the Larmer Tree Gardens to photograph Nicky and Alan’s wedding day. Nicky arrived looking absolutely wonderful with her parents and bridesmaids. Alan, Ollie, Poppy and guests were all seated and looking forward to a good day. The ceremony was lovely with a very moving reading from Nicky and following the register signing everyone moved out to the gardens and marquee for refreshments. We had an excellent time with Nicky and Alan during this time photographing the two of them in the gardens and temple. After the wedding breakfast they were happy to come out into the gardens again for a little more photography in the very last of the daylight and we are delighted with images we have achieved with them.

Nicky and Alan were really happy to help us all they could to achieve the photographic memories they wanted from their wedding day and despite the weather not being all they had hoped for their enthusiasm did not wain, this was brilliant for Earle and me and the silver lining to the rain clouds was that the dampness had brought out the vivid colours in the gardens making a wonderful backdrop for Alan and his stunning bride.

It was a wonderful day Nicky and Alan, congratulations to you both, we hope you had an absoloute blast, the ‘Masked Ball’ was inspired!

Here are a few of our favourite images from your wedding day – enjoy!

Anne and Paul wedding

Monday 1st September was the day for Anne and Paul to marry and they are doing it all again on Saturday!!!!  Although Anne lives here, her family’s home is Denmark and they are having a ceremony over there so all her family can be part of it and it is a very good reason to have another good party in a really beautiful dress!  We are just sad we can’t be there with you all again.

Anne had Michelle Camm and Robyn Vallender over to see her in the morning to take care of  her hair and make up, they also looked after her lovely mum and sister, before long all that was left to do was for Anne to be dressed in her stunning wedding gown and leave for her wedding ceremony.

Paul and Anne enjoyed a very personal and emotional ceremony, with the choir which Anne is a member of having an important role to play in the musical element.  Anne stirred the emotions of everyone in the church when she joined the choir and sang solo the first verse of one of her chosen songs – a remarkably beautiful moment in the day then almost before we could recover, Anne’s brother played guitar during the register signing, another moment when I had to remind myself to take photographs and not just stand and listen!!

Once the two families had enjoyed their lunch at Les Bouviers we took Paul and Anne to the beach for the photography we had planned with them.  Against the odds the weather had stayed dry for all the important times of the day and we just managed to complete our trip to the beach in the dry but the clouds were looking stormy at times and the wind blew hard, brilliant conditions for us which Anne and Paul threw themselves into with fantastic humour.

Its been a great day to be part of.  Earle and I send our sincere congratulations to you both and we are looking forward to the Wedding Diva shoot, the format is just tooooo exciting!

Claire and Iain wedding

It has been a busy weekend in Bournemouth and surrounding areas with a fantastic airshow and the Steam ralley amongst all this celebration was the lovely wedding between Claire and Iain at The Sandbanks Hotel.

The guests arriving early for the ceremony were kept well entertained with all the planes flying in the skies, the view from the hotel was incredible. Iain spent the morning on the beach with their adorable 15 month old twins, Dougie and Rachel before getting suited and booted! Claire had an appointment with James of Red Carpet in Canford Cliffs who created a perfect hair style for Claire really complimenting her make up and beautiful gown. After a relaxed morning with her bridesmaids helping with all the preparations Claire was ready to walk down for her wedding where Iain was waiting with all their family and friends.

With the weather being so warm the drinks reception was held out on the terrace overlooking the beach and after the wedding breakfast we were able to encourage all the guests onto the sand for the big photograph of everyone, the children loved it particularly and were brilliant at keeping their parents organised!!!

Just before the evening party started we borrowed Claire and Iain for a few minutes to photograph them on the beach away from their guests. The beach was much quieter by now and we were able to catch the last of the light for some beautiful images.

To round off a fantastic day the firework display along the bay in Bournemouth was an impressive show.

Our warmest congratulations to Iain and Claire on your marriage, we look forward to seeing you both again soon for your post wedding shoot, something for our Wedding Divas we think!
