Mari-Anne and Clint Wedding

Close to home again this weekend with Mari-Anne and Clint marrying in the village of Sixpenny Handley and then on to Les Bouviers near Wimborne.  We had a wonderful morning over in the village at Anne-Marie’s parent’s home and the local pub, photographing all the preparations before heading off to the church in Sixpenny Handley for the wedding ceremony itself.  Clint is all the way from Australia and his family travelled here to be part of their very special day with a return trip organised for this week by Clint’s family for the blessing in Perth this coming Saturday.

Following the beautiful ceremony and countryside setting, the wedding party moved on to Les Bouviers where the most wonderful reception was organised.  Once the speeches and all important cake cutting had taken place we quickly whisked the bride and groom off briefly for some photographs of them alone at a fantastic local place of history.  The light had just completely given in to night time as we arrived and the wind was blowing a complete and utter gale but nevertheless we all agreed to be undeterred in our ideal and headed towards our final location, the images captured are a complete thrill.  Total team work from us all … a really fast trip there and back!!!!

Enjoy your blessing and celebrations in Perth Mr & Mrs Davies, Earle and I really hope everyone over there loves your slide show.  Mari-Anne and Clint you both looked totally amazing although Mari-Anne you really did have the ticket for first prize in the superbly stunning stakes!!!!   Have fun and heaps of congratulations on your marriage, you both are complete and utter stars!!!!!

Jennie and James Wedding

Last Saturday took us off to Little Horsted and Lewes in East Sussex for Jennie and James’ wedding day.  Jennie and James live in Bournemouth now but Jennie’s family are all local to the Horsted and Lewes area so this was the venue for there marriage.  Chris, the vicar who performed their ceremony has known the whole family for many years, giving a very personal and special touch to the occassion.

Jennie and James were completely unflustered over the damp start to the day and were rewarded with a patch of drier weather during the afternoon when we were able to complete all the formal photographs in the gardens of Pelham House, a beautiful venue in the heart of Lewes town.  We were then able to photograph Jennie and James on their own around the grounds and in one very special little room which gave some particularly stunning images.  I say ‘on their own’ by this I mean they were the only ones in the image but they certainly had quite an audience egging them on!!  All good fun.

There was a particularly poignant moment after the speeches when Jennie’s sister, Tessa sang two lovely songs with Duncan their brother accompanying her on his guitar.  Totally brilliant!  With the evening party ready to kick off Jennie and James did their first dance and were soon joined by the rest of their family on the dance floor and the dancing really got going!

Jennie you looked absolutely wonderful and without doubt James brushed up pretty well too, especially with those shoes of his……. will he ever wear them again we wonder?

Thank you both for all your kindness and generous hospitality throughout the day.  Many congratulations to you both and every best wish for a wonderfully happy life together.  Enjoy the pictures here and you can look forward to seeing the rest very soon.

Rebecca and Matt wedding

Yesterday we were photographing a wedding deep in the Dorset countryside, Warmwell and Tincleton.  This is the area where Rebecca spent much of her childhood with her family and she decided with Matt it would be an ideal location for their wedding day.  They travelled down from Leeds with Matt’s family and their friends to celebrate and it was a marvellous success.  So many guests had contributed in a very practical way towards the wedding giving lots of people a very close involvement in each stage of the day.

Rebecca looked absoloutly lovely and Matt extremely proud of his wife.  We were able to capture some beautiful natural images of the two of them in the lovely countryside around Holy Trinity Church at Warmwell and in the grounds of The Old Barn at Tincleton where the reception was held.

It was a really great day, wonderfully relaxed and brilliant fun to be with Rebecca and Matt on such a special occassion.  Huge congratulations to you both and we look forward to you seeing all your pictures but for the time being here are a few of our favourites to be going on with.

Rachel and Rod Wedding

Last Saturday Earle and I photographed Rachel and Rod’s wedding day at The Sandbanks Hotel on the beautiful Sandbanks peninsula.  Rod and Rachel discovered this area while taking a break away from their home near Coventry and decided it was the destination for their wedding day.  All their family and friends travelled down for the bank holiday weekend to join in the celebrations.  Earle and I arrived in the morning to photograph the preparations, Robyn was there with Rachel sorting hair and makeup while Jessica and Florence, the two lovely young bridesmaids were coming and going keeping themselves occupied before it was their turn to get dressed.  The morning raced by and already it was time for the wedding ceremony.

Rachel and Rod were keen to have lots of pictures on the beach which the Sandbanks Hotel faces and we thought it a shame not to involve all the guests in a shot.  We figured as a shot of the whole wedding party was needed we would wait until after the wedding breakfast then ask all the guests outside onto the beach.  Everyone joined in, the ladies removed their shoes  the gents just coped with the sand and the job was done!

We then took the bride and groom off along the beach to photograph just the two of them together.  The afternoon had turned quite chilled but Rachel and Rod were really happy to spend time out with us taking some wonderful relaxed, fun images with quite an audience of other beach walkers looking on and congratulating the newly weds.

Earle and I send our warmest congratulations to you both on your marriage, Rachel you looked wonderful and Rod you looked the happiest man on the planet!  Enjoy your photographs.

Sarah and Nino wedding

Saturday 26th April was the big day for Sarah and Nino a union between England and Italy which was celebrated with the blue and white theme for their wedding.  Earle and I did not have far to travel, the lovely Canford Magna church is just along the road for us.  Sarah’s Father is one of the team of ministers within the parish and had the unusual experience of being the other side of the ropes for this day!  All Nino’s family had travelled from Italy to share in the celebrations.  Earle met them all in Bournemouth to photograph them all together preparing for the day ahead.  Sarah was with her family near to the church where I was spending the morning.  After their ceremony and the formal pictures which we were able to complete in the lovely grounds everyone moved on for the reception.

Earle and I had organised with Sarah and Nino to meet them with their driver and wedding car at the beach for some photography while their guests gathered at the Chine Hotel.  Quite an audience gathered while we photographed Sarah and Nino, the weather this Saturday was really fine and many people had come down to enjoy the beach.  I was concerned the bride and groom may be a little shy with so many people around but no, they were fantastic, in their own world and oblivious of the interest they were attracting!!   Sarah was even willing to do some gymnastics in her wedding gown to negotiate without so much as a blink, some barriers which were otherwise going to prevent us from getting some wonderful beach hut pictures with a bit of a twist.

Sarah and Nino, this has been a very special day to be included in.  Congratulations to you both and thank you for having us there to be part of it.  Many thanks also for your very much appreciated hospitality and all the kindnesses shown to us all day long.  Have fun looking at your wedding photographs but for now here are a few to be going on with!
