Anna and Ben’s wedding
{St Augustine, Florida}

Whilst we are extremely used to travelling long distances for our wedding clients we have never travelled quite as far as Florida, so this was a first for us!!  We did have a little extra interest in this wedding also as Ben is the eldest of the four children in our family and since he has now settled in Anna’s homeland it is there we all travelled to!

The wedding took place in the tiniest church in the ‘historic’ (in american terms;-)) St Augustine, which is a lovely town on the East coast just north of Orlando.  The 32 strong wedding party filled the church to capacity and Anna’s Godfather conducted a very special wedding ceremony.  The newest Mr & Mrs Peacock then led the wedding party out of the church for a few photographs then it was off to the beach and beach house for partytime!

Ben and Anna were keen to have a post wedding shoot also so a few days later we all travelled across to the west coast’s ‘Honeymoon Island’ at Clearwater where we had a great time photographing the bride and groom enjoying life getting soaked in those wonderful warm waters of the Gulf coast.

We have chosen some of our favourite images for our blog and will be delighted to hear your comments, just click on the box below:-)

Award winning photography

In our years of photography we have not been avid participants in the competition arena but more recently we thought ‘well, why not give it a go?’ The upshoot of this thought pattern wound up with us entering the Wessex Region MPA awards in December 2010 and December 2011 and on both occasions we have been totally delighted to come away with awards!  In 2010 we won a second place in Fashion and Glamour and third in Wedding then in 2011 things got even better with a first place and second place in Envirionmental Portraiture which is just fantastic in itself but also gives the balance to our working relationship as we both now have won awards within this competition!!  Marital and professional bliss is maintained for another year and our personal photographic competition thrives:-)  Bring on 2012…..we are looking forward to all it offers

Shooting Skulls!

Yes I know this sounds a bit weird but it’s just got to be done if the opportunity is there!  We were given the door of skulls after the film set of ‘Clash of the Titans’ was stripped down and have been looking forward to a time when we would be able to use it in our studio – the time arrived yesterday with our lovely clients Paul and Amy who embraced the idea wholeheartedly and entered into our fantastical world  for this extraordinary shoot.

Miskin Family Portraits

The Miskin family came along to see us for a family shoot.  They wanted some relaxed and fun images in the studio so that is exactly what Earle and I set about creating with them.  The family knew just the sort of look they were hoping to have reflected and we are delighted they had the confidence in us to help them achieve it.  It was great meeting you all.

Natalie and Steven Pre Wedding Portraits

We met up with Natalie and Steven for their pre wedding portraits at Hengistbury Head.  It was one extremely windy evening making it pretty chilly down by the sea but they were complete stars and threw themselves into the portrait shoot with wonderful humour and enthusiasm.  Earle and I are looking forward to your wedding day and look forward to hearing which image you both decide on for your signature print!  Thank you both for being such fun.

Family portraits

It’s so great to welcome back wedding clients when they have started or added to their family.  Sam and Mark used one of our Gift Vouchers for a family portrait session in our studio starring their truly adorable little daughter.  Their baby was a little star and took the lead role without the bat of an eyelid, she was a total treat to photograph probably getting the vibe from Mummy and Daddy who have grown very relaxed in front of our camera’s.

We love photographing babies and young children every one is so different, the expressions, the movement and characteristics are unblemished, random and real – to see their early characters emerging and the deep love held for them by their parents is something very special indeed.
