Award winning photography

In our years of photography we have not been avid participants in the competition arena but more recently we thought ‘well, why not give it a go?’ The upshoot of this thought pattern wound up with us entering the Wessex Region MPA awards in December 2010 and December 2011 and on both occasions we have been totally delighted to come away with awards!  In 2010 we won a second place in Fashion and Glamour and third in Wedding then in 2011 things got even better with a first place and second place in Envirionmental Portraiture which is just fantastic in itself but also gives the balance to our working relationship as we both now have won awards within this competition!!  Marital and professional bliss is maintained for another year and our personal photographic competition thrives:-)  Bring on 2012…..we are looking forward to all it offers

Wootton Bassett Repatriation 12th July 2011

On Tuesday I fullfilled a long time promise to myself to visit Wootton Bassett and pay my respects at a repatriation. Peter a friend of ours and myself headed off for the two hour drive at lunchtime and arrived at Wootton Bassett nice and early. When we arrived we were not alone, there were hundreds of people there already amongst them a substantial number of bikers. We got talking to a few of the bikers and many of them had attended over 50 repatriations!

When the traffic through the town stopped we knew that the convoy was on its way, the town bell tolled and the most amazing silence came over the waiting crowd – it was very very moving. The flags lowered, salutes were made and the family stepped forward. Some of the day I photographed and some I couldn’t. But I have the greatest repect for the people of Wootton Bassett, the bikers and everyone who had travelled there.

Concept Photographic – Rebranding

Well its nearly complete – our rebranding is well under way with our new blog and web sites. There is currently a transition time as we gradually move to the new logo’s etc so please be patient!!

We are delighted with our new logo it brings together our stylised, avant guarde approach and our business name, the peacock feather design reflects the connection between the individual work we produce for all our clients and our own identity.  Hope you agree with our verdict: ‘Simply Stunning’  :-)

Earle and Jane.

Witchampton Soapbox Racing

So, after making it through Christmas day Will and I decided to head off to Witchampton (Dorset) to watch the Soapbox Racing which is an annual event in the village. After the first round the racers were obviously taking more risks to improve their times, the resultant crashes were funny and not too disasterous!!! It was a good laugh, i think we want to enter next year….

Bournemouth Air Festival 20th August 2009

Mixing work with a bit of pleasure, managed to take some quick images of some of the display. Jane definitely classes it as full on ‘anorak’ but some of the flying was amazing, especially the fly past by Vulcan XH558, long may it continue to fly.
